The tower has 16,097 square metres of floor space with 75 basement car parks over 2 levels. == History == The tower was constructed in the late 1970s by the National Mutual Life Association, and after being completed in 1980 was known as National Mutual Tower.〔 National Mutual moved to 144 Edward Street during the height of the battle between National Mutual and AMP for dominance of the Australian life insurance market. AXA gained majority ownership of National Mutual in 1999 and renamed the company AXA Asia Pacific.〔(Axa Asia Pacific Holdings Limited ).
